Mongolian child to open Group E match of FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian child will open the Group E match between Switzerland and Costa Rica in the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod on June 27.

The child to open the match will be selected in May. Organizers informed during the press conference yesterday that all Mongolian male children aged between 10 and 14 are eligible to participate in the selection and will be selected through an essay competition themed ‘My dream KIA’.
 
The significance of the competition is to encourage children and increase their self-confidence. The organizers believe that it will help children to get one step closer to their dream and give them chance to meet best footballers of the world. Moreover, selected children will share their knowledge of football and learn from each other.
